But why must I necessarily regard other philosophers as my opponents? In many cases they are not - even in debate. For me, effective debate is about working with someone else, preferably an expert in a different topic, to give me new perspectives and input.
Two brains work better than one. Even if the second brain is much less intelligent - if that brain is co-operative, it can still help. |
