| HEARTSTART Dual Brain Development
General Premise
HeartStart is a home-based, parentally guided child education program that recognizes the dual brain disposition of the human psyche. The program was initiated in response to the imbalance of the current state sponsored education system that focuses almost exclusively on left brain indoctrination via classroom-based rote learning. HeartStart is specifically designed to address the intuitive as well as the analytical attributes of the human potential. The goal is to create a balanced association of both the physical and metaphysical forces that govern the psyche and thereby release the full creative potential of the human genius.
The basic philosophy of HeartStart is founded on the behavioral ethics that have been imprinted in the human gene pool during one hundred thousand generations of evolutionary development. The spontaneous rise of child prodigies in every culture points to the fact that this vast bank of ancestral wisdom must lie latent in our genetic makeup and can be accessed in some mysterious way. As only 1% of students express this latent genius through the current focus on the science of analytical development, it is obvious that full access to this treasure house of stored knowledge must include an evocation of the neglected intuitive half of the psyche. Access to this secretive side of our nature lies in the evocation of latent powers of extra- sensory perception. This para-psychological dimension of the mind is guarded and governed by ethical constraints that are directly related to our social behavior. They are founded on the evolutionary disciplines of: Meticulous sharing and caring; A chore-based work ethic; Personal courage; Personal pride; Community commitment: Conscientious craftsmanship; Scientifi c logic; Spiritual awareness. Except for science, these essential ethics that combine to bring out our genius, are unfortunately not equably developed in current school curriculums.
When properly evoked between infancy and puberty, these imprinted evolutionary disciplines work towards producing a self-policed young psyche, one that allows our budding teenage intellectual curiosity to eventually engage in script-based learning and analytical deduction, without the need of adult supervision or compulsory incarceration inside a classroom. The proper school for producing an ethically behaved, self-motivated, student is in the practical environment of the home, garden and backyard workshop, where both parents (Natures duly appointed teachers), can instill vital family values that are both practically and spiritually orientated. Their responsibility is to encourage their children to take pride in their genetically imprinted inheritance of ethical disciplines and show them, via the inclusion of metaphysical drills and exercises, how to evoke and synchronize their own inherent analytical and intuitive capabilities and reveal their genius without constant adult supervision.
If parents, with only a modicum of high school qualifications; create a stable home environment, honor their marriage vows, encourage a loving atmosphere of moderate ambitious expectation, and take time to share their own skills and hopes and dreams through conversation and personal example; while insisting on the disciplines of equal sharing of chores and resources, there will no need to drive the child to study the science of logic. By puberty, they will drive themselves. Impartial fairness in the home avoids prodigal teen reaction, and every post-pubertal student will hit the books out of personal pride and pure self-curiosity and educate the intellect in short order.
If we return to this natural base of parental instruction in a home-based milieu, combined with free access to the Internet, every modern family is quite able to produce a university-entrant student with straight-A intellectual credentials. This home-based system includes the blessing of impeccable ethical standards that will relieve the state of the unnecessary burden of police-enforced laws.
If this is done worldwide, (at a tiny fraction of the current expenditure for global education), we will reap within a generation; a self-educated, ethically behaved, global society. It would be made up of equally well-educated, conscientious individuals, with an adult sense of responsibility, able to vigilantly police themselves, judge themselves and correct themselves without any vast communal expenditure or use of exterior force.
We have reached that stage of human evolution where it is no longer a justifiable governmental tenet to invest our collective will in the person of a single leader, and a congress of representatives, leaving them with the responsibility to make our major decisions regarding war, peace and domestic spending.
With the speed of communication no longer limited to the time a man on horseback takes to get a regional message to Congress, with every current issue instantly available to be aired in every living room via satellite communication, and with every vote simply a computer-click away, the need for representative government has become redundant.
There is no single parent on this planet gifted with enough personal authority to order another parent’s child to war or to be elected as the leader of anything but his or her own family.
More than 200 years ago we declared a state of independence in an essentially interdependent universe and began experimenting with social government by means of a written Constitution. The Constitution started out as a few pages of man-made laws. Now it requires a thousand volumes of endless amendments, battalions of lawyers to interpret it, vast bureaucratic agencies to supervise its functioning, and tens of millions of government officials to police it, and prisons are jammed with more social offenders than ever before in human history.
Now, perhaps, it is time to scrap written laws altogether. To dismantle the tower of litigious Babel and invest our patience, trust, (and budgets), in a human government that is based on the unwritten codes of ethical conduct and a common sense of human decency that has taken millions of years of discipline to become imprinted in the human gene pool.
After we have purged our maps of artificial political boundaries, a new type of ecological management will emerge, based on the regional divides of natural water tables. The population of each region would call the managerial shots. The power of individual votes, including those of every newborn, would be placed solely in the hands of parental pairs. If we create senates made up solely of grand-parental pairs of proven social and spiritual worth, who can coordinate larger continental decisions, we might have that type of common sense human management that is free of endless political bickering and special-interest lobbying.
If we rid ourselves of the United Nations Organization, and instead, establish a Racial Tribunal made up of the three Great Houses of Man, with a grand-parental team from each House and their advisors sitting in council to decide on global priorities, we might have that focus of world authority for a New Age of global egalitarianism that is fair and familiar to everyone. We can accomplish this seemingly impossible aim if we institute a child education policy, based on HeartStart and not on Headstart. |

| The following testament is composed from the experiences gained over the last two decades by our own family group while engaged in a parentally guided home-school educational philosophy based on dual-brain development.
We have eight children. We possessed no professional academic qualifications other than high school when we set out twenty years ago to educate them in our own home. Our initial motivation for having children; beyond the natural anticipation of wanting to see what kind of lovable personalities the mix of our genes would produce, was to recognize parenting as an essential statement of being and accept the responsibility of raising children to achieve their highest potential as an integral element in the growth of our own consciousness. In short, we would learn from each other and grow up together.
My wife and I had both reneged on previous marriage contracts and we vowed that this time round the bitter aftertaste of personal failure that divorce brings to the table was not to be repeated. The challenge of honoring our vows as we have matured over the years has helped us to work hard at establishing and sustaining a secure home environment for our children. After an initial start in the city, we built a permanent home out in the Nevada desert and set about instilling in our children a sense of parental veneration and pride in estate as two of the essential foundation stones that define family values.
As it takes both the passive and assertive principles of yin and yang to make sense of what keeps the world in balance, we decided right from the birth of our first child that rearing children was a full-time occupation, which would require the constant presence and input of both male and female parental input. Single parents, depending on gender, are limited to expressing either intuitive or analytical perspectives. The contrasting choices made in every-day problem solving only become clearly apparent when both genders are seen working together towards the same objective. It is important for budding students of human nature to see the daily parental dynamic of passive/assertive approaches revealing both sides of the same coin. Evaluating these differences from the critical standpoint if a child watching its parents in action, provides them with a working model for their own future gender and marriage relationships. The negative impact that disagreeable marital disputes impress on this ever-present impartial audience helps each parent to be extremely mindful about setting a good gender example.
After a year of struggling with the rules and regulations that the State set for home educators, we broke with the system and threw their textbooks away. We set about the task of devising our own child development curriculum by incorporating some of the long-lost wisdom in child rearing that I had gained from studying cultures that sustained traditional oralbased instruction and practices. Particular attention was paid to the balanced development of both the feminine and masculine halves of the child psyche.
The HeartStart program has gradually evolved over the past two decades into a hybrid methodology on child education that incorporates what we believe to be the best of forgotten fruits, as well as the very best in modern, carefully picked from the long history of human development. We have succeeded in producing results in the intellectual and ethical development of every one of our children that far outstrip the results that they would have achieved in the existing state-supported system.
Each child has been naturally birthed at home without drugs administered to the mother. Profession medical help has only been referred to in emergency. Doctors and nurses are not trained to take the following physiological and psychological tenets into account during hospital births: We believe that infants are not born sense-impaired. From the moment they come out of the darkness of the birth canal, see the light, and suck in their fi rst breath of pure air, every subtle nuance in the surroundings registers on their uncluttered consciousness. Sight, scent, sound, touch and taste are all intensely sensitive. The sixth sense is fully alert and is hyper-consciously responsive to the psychic magic of the birth moment. It is sensitive to any lack of harmony - especially during sleep.
The fi rst ties of bonding take place in those irretrievable moments of birthing. It is essential that the mother is the sole point of focus and that painkillers have not dulled her attention. Masked strangers confuse the issue and create the wrong impressions. Taking the newborn away from the mother and losing all those fi rst moments of endearment is completely taboo. The medical urgency to grab the infant and immediately start checking on its physiology completely ignores the psychic break and psychological damage. For these reasons and more, a home birth, with the mother fully conscious and doing all she can to facilitate the birth, with perhaps only one mid-wife in assistance, is essential in making sure that the right conditions are present during the vital moments of fi rst impression.
Each of our children has been breast-fed for three years and weaned before the next sibling arrived. Until weaned the infant psyche, which has no fixed sense of a separate self, becomes increasingly anxious if the mother is absent for even a few moments. Asleep or awake, the invisible aural alarm of the sixth sense gets tripped the second she is out of range. For this reason we have tried to ensure that each infant has remained in constant sense-contact with the mother until old enough to break contact and go toddling off to investigate the world for themselves. Body-bonding (infant tied on the back or front) throughout most of the day is both comforting as well as educational. When not asleep or feeding, the infant psyche is constantly part of and absorbing all the occupational movements the mother makes during her workday. At night they slept with their mothers, safely cuddled in her arms in the same bed.
During the three-year weaning period it is better that the father sleeps alone and refrains as much as possible from imposing his own powerful sexual aura between mother and child. A child will awake from sleep to keep psychic interference at bay. The delicate infant aura cannot inter-phase or compete with any sense of security, with the powerful vibes of adult desires. Until recently, among the Bantu tribes of Africa it was taboo for the husband to have sex with his wife until the child was weaned. This same sensitivity to any trespass between mother and infant is apparent throughout Nature. Only modern man has imposed himself on it and crossed the line. (The origins of the Oedipus complex?) For this same delicately sensitive reason of trespass, correct sibling spacing is vital. A premature new pregnancy, which breaks the psychic bond and divides the mother’s affection and precipitately removes an un-weaned infant from the mother’s side and her breast, is an immensely traumatic betrayal of trust that seriously inhibits the child’s own future bonding capabilities. It is the prime cause of bitter sibling rivalries and familial disaffection.
It is our fi ed belief that all forms of modern behavioral dysfunction that surface as the child grows older, stem from some degree of conscious and unconscious parental neglect during the vital infant stage of development. Neglect is initiated as soon as the mother disengages all sense-contact with the babe and leaves them alone to go off and do something else. This can be so, whether the infant is asleep or awake. It is all right to occasionally put a sleeping babe down, but not to leave their presence. Complete disengagement from the mother’s contact triggers an insecure impulse for the abandoned infant to cry out in order to regain her attention. If the crying refl ex is triggered too many times during infancy, the constant need to attract attention becomes pathological and remains as a form of underlying anxiety throughout life. A cruel side effect of persistent crying is the increasing disaffection and irritation of the parent who is forced to respond to it. The net-result manifests in all forms of negative pestering and deviant behavior as the child grows older. Anti-social behavior is, in effect, subconscious infantile cries to attract attention. Disorders range from a pathological urge to control others, to a whole range of addictive behavior patterns, including outright criminality.
Infants learn by mimicry. If they are left in nursery schools and raised by others, they will mimic strangers and not the parent. Every nuance of parental expression, one’s body language, every smile of endearment, every encouragement, every frown, every sigh of impatience registers sharply on the dual faculties of the child’s uncluttered consciousness and stimulates positive or negative responses. The future well being of the child is determined in the here and now of each moment and the quality of that moment is largely controlled and determined by the creative input of the teacher. Infancy needs a full dose of TLC 24/7 - especially when pain and discomfort are involved. Teething requires special empathy. None of our children have been inside a professional classroom. The precocious idea of trying to get them to read in infancy has been studiously avoided. In fact, none of them were encouraged to read or write until puberty. Our focus has been, to give the child’s own natural intelligence and common sense a chance to develop, before prematurely exposing it to opinionated script-based indoctrination.
For the fi rst seven years of each life we focused our parental efforts almost exclusively on the sharing ethic. The survival instinct of the selfish ape underpins human consciousness. Infants cling instinctively to whatever is in their reach. Gradually encouraging them to let go and share with others, is the foundation of human cultivation. It took 99% of our time evolving as humans to break into that ancient primate hold on the psyche. Despite a hundred thousand generations if genetic behavioral imprint, it still takes us all of seven careful and patient years to re-focus the basic sharing ethic in each newborn. (In man it can be refi ned to a degree where we are prepared to lay down our lives for one another. Alternatively a careless upbringing can re-trigger the greedy ape grabbing all the bananas again.) Meticulous sharing of resources not only avoids unnecessary sibling arguments, but also allows each child to extend their personality beyond themselves and experience the personal esteem and joy of giving.
We also concentrated on personal hygiene and tidiness, so that they could take pride in themselves and in their appearance and the space around them. Cluttered bedrooms were not tolerated. Growing up surround by an untidy mess is a breeding ground for future slovenliness. Creative focus came from encouraging arts and crafts. Long walks in natural surroundings, with time to observe and study how Nature worked were an essential part of each day. Climbing mountains from an early age took a lot of cajoling and a lot of tears as they ran out of energy when the slopes got steep, but the triumphs of reaching summits (our highest peak was 14,000 feet) have produced lasting rewards in character development. We have videos of two-year-olds in diapers, clinging desperately to twenty-foot cliffs searching for handholds and then scrambling up like little monkeys.
We gained parental respect by revealing our own veneration for ancestral effort. We lined the walls with portraits of our own parents and grandparents, and orally recounted their histories, how they dealt with us as children and their hopes and dreams for our family. By example we showed our own veneration and respect for all life forms on the planet. All teaching was oral-based. We plumbed our own memories and recounted everything we knew about history and science. When telling stories we dramatized our voices and animated our body language and made sure to elicit audience responses and applause.
Humor was injected into every tale. We related myths and fables and heroic adventures from the rich resources of all cultures, including our religious scriptures.
Besides sharing fascinating insights into the early history that shaped human consciousness, we also took care to reveal how the underlying allegorical nature of religious sagas served to evoke a powerful spiritual response. For instance the child-like fables of Aladdin finding a magic lamp in the desert with a genie inside, or the one about Ali Baba reciting a magic mantra to open the door of a hidden treasure cave, were also, subtle sufi codes that related to the hidden spiritual powers waiting to be released inside Everyman. The underlying personal significance of the saga of Moses was carefully reinterpreted. We revealed how his leading the Jews out of bondage from Egypt and spending forty years wandering through the desert before catching a glimpse of the promised land, could also be seen as a Kabbalah code that explains the struggle of Everyman to free himself from the chains of ignorance. Each one of us must wander through the desert of contemplation and climb the mountain of Truth - where we realize the fundamental wisdom of the ten Divine Laws. In everyday life, when we see the ignorance of others’, prostrate before the golden calf, we must have the compassion to realize that they have yet to be privileged to see what we have seen; and in the end be graced with a glimpse of the

Divine destination that is promised for all of us. We showed that all the biblical tales are coded – making the Bible a truly Holy book, as are the Scriptures of all other cultures. In this manner, we tried to make our recounts and understandings of the Religious Beliefs and myths of all the world cultures to be both historically interesting and spiritually enlightening at the same time. We took special care with the story of Jesus. We explained that he was glorifi ed by our Christian culture - not because of the exclusive belief by some that he was God, for every religion believes that of their own Saviors – but because of the inclusive fact that he was a humble man who had to struggle like the rest of us to overcome his base nature and learn to behave as the kind of man, God would love to have as a son. He was a holy man who set an example for men of all cultures to behave in the same way. What allowed Christianity to eventually become a world force, was his simple carpenter’s insight, during an Age when the Gods of War were worshipped by the high and mighty, into the Divine nature of Peace – of God’s compassionate love for Man and his plea for us to love our neighbors and forgive their trespasses. It echoed and improved on the earlier maxim of Confucius; Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you. We extended the concept of love for neighbor, into a profound sense of consideration for all of Nature’s creatures. To this day none of our children will hurt an ant. Desert scorpions and spiders and snakes around the house are carefully caught and carried away. As a result of their care, even in periods when our property has been infested with these potentially dangerous creatures, no child has ever suffered a bite.
We evoked our children’s innate sense of superstition and used it to govern deviant behavior. From the moment their infant egos surfaced, at around three years of age, we introduced each child to the Tokoloshe. The Tokoloshe is a staple force in African folklore, an invisible impish spirit who is eternally vigilant in the service of Nature and concerned parents, and who is ready to respond instantly to destructive or disobedient behavior through warnings and eventually more painful means if necessary. (fairies goblins, leprechauns, genies, jinns etc. in other cultures).
Over time we gradually got them to acknowledge that every cut and bump, every bruise, every playground fall, was no accident but the synchronic response of the Tokoloshe, instantly ready to punish them for every sassy response, every selfi sh act, every bad thought or disrespect of Nature. They had nobody to blame for their pain but themselves. It was amazing how fast baby tears dry up when endless coincidences become undeniable. And so they realized early on, never to come crying to mama and deal quietly with their transgressions by themselves. The Tokoloshe taught them to grow up intuitively aware of the unwritten code of ethical behavior, to be comfortable with the idea of an omniscient God and to be accountable for their own transgressions. They grew up fully superstitious, and they will remain so throughout their lives. They know that for every cause there is an effect; that pain is never an accident – nor is any reward. This inbred sense of fatalism has proved to be dynamic, not just dumb victimization. It has made them want to do good deeds and seek goodwill from invisible forces. They have seen for themselves, through their pain and tears, that which goes around, comes around. They know intuitively, and have learned to accept analytically as well, that Nature is not a dead force but one that is fully alive and observant, as much aware of us, as we are of Her. She is the guardian of territorial integrity, ready to nourish and delight with Her beauty and mystery; to give fair warning against trespasses; and strike back painfully against those who deliberately and persistently harm Her. They are in effect Nuclear Age Animists.
In their seventh year each child was introduced to a chore-based work ethic: they were taught agriculture, domestic science, workshop skills, and honed their arts and crafts potential. We activated their psychic abilities by getting them to practice yoga asanas and meditation drills. We instituted ESP exercises designed to develop the powers of right-brain intuitions. They played mental hiding games (i.e. mineral/organic/synthetic) to a point in which they were able to gradually transcended logical dissemination and learn how to identify and trust intuitive insights and come up with the correct answer without asking any leading questions. As a practical demonstration of latent ESP powers, I built a light box and made glass slides of each letter of the alphabet. The children were divided into pairs and each seated across from each other, behind a screen in a dark room. They practiced an hour a day for several months to mentally transmit, one slide at a time, six randomly selected illuminated letters into the minds of their partners beyond the screen. Our carefully documented results confound logistical odds by millions to one, and confi rms and the existence of extra-sensory capabilities.
Practicing ESP drills has cemented their intimate psychic relationships and bound them to each other and allowed them to share each other’s joys and discomforts without the need for talk. Another technique for activating right brain focus was to encourage frequent use of the left hand, especially when writing and drawing. At seven years of Age we initiated Zen meditation as the key training in the development of the intuitive half of the psyche. Beginning with twenty-minute sessions, we gradually worked their way up to forty fi ve-minute sittings. We initiated at least one, three day sesshin, of dawn to dusk sittings in their training schedule. (The Zen technique of seated meditation is fully described in the next chapter.) They camped out and studied Nature every summer. They engaged in simple challenges in mental arithmetic and algebra. They applied mathematics by counting how long and how many paces it took to walk a mile, and contemplated on the relativity of time and motion by noticing how the hours dragged when things became tedious, and then sped up when they were having fun. They recited the alphabet and the multiplication tables, and mentally composed blocks of syllables and formed them into longer words. They measured out the square footage of a potato patch and learned how much care and effort it took to reap a harvest.
They touched on the mystery of Pi by drawing geometric shapes in the dirt and seeing how the relationship of the diameter to the circumference remained constant with any size circle. We exposed them to endless oral recounts of family history. We made them proud of our family totems.
As each arrived at puberty their heads were shaved, both the boys and the girls. Then they were sent up into the mountains to stay alone and hungry for as long as they could, to discover for themselves how vulnerable that the individual really is. The lonely vigil taught them how valuable human company was, how sweet the comforts of home were and how long and hard our ancestors worked so that we could get to where we are today. Each one came back down from the mountain fi rmly committed to a period of community service.
Only then did we let them hit the textbooks. They used their common sense to teach themselves how to read and write. Between the ages of twelve and fi fteen they invested an average of one hour a day mastering successively diffi cult textbooks on mathematics, English and science on their own. They accessed the Internet and surfed its library of knowledge. Except for an occasional inquiry, neither parent spent any signifi cant time helping or supervising their studies. At the end of the three years each was ready for his or her GED exams. Their test results are among the highest in the nation.
They learned to understand the basics of nuclear physics and found themselves both analytically and intuitively excited by the physical as well as the metaphysical implications of atomic radiation. Their personal interactive experiences with the invisible forces of Nature added to their training in extra-sensory perception, allowing them to make the psychic connection between the observer and the observed. They learned the atom “without” is the same as the atom “within”. The macrocosm and the microcosm share in the same impulse towards artistic excellence in expression. Except for the hour or two spent studying each day, they have kept to their chores and helped manage our ranch. Family values have never been violated. Their generosity is all encompassing. Their natures are compassionate. Not one has ever told a deliberate lie, ever tried to be deceitful, ever stolen more than a cookie. The ethic of personal health has kicked in. They eat moderately and exercise for good health. None of them has ever taken a sip of alcohol, smoked a cigarette or used drugs. They do not argue or fi ght with each other or disrespect an elder. They believe implicitly in a higher atomic -based intelligence. Their simple kindness has not made them boring. Each remains uniquely individualized, psychically perceptive and innately charming.
They are ready to attend any university and master a science or an art, so that they may become effective global stewards and stewardesses. After their period of community service they want to master their adult crafts, marry and stay wedded for life, teach children of their own, reach sagehood with perfectly clear consciences, their intellects honed by an unclouded search for the Truth.
They are intelligent self-policed students who need no Congress or books of law to tell them how to use their commonsense. They don’t need the “carrot” of money to activate their innate genius or their will to work. They possess impeccable social manners, are spiritually aware and have never spent a minute enclosed inside a classroom, condemned to being downloaded with predigested information and policed endlessly by adults. Not only are they high school graduates, they have the personal satisfaction of knowing that they did it all under their own steam. They have never given us a moment’s heartache. The personal benefi ts and sense of achievement we have received, as parents and guides to our children’s upbringing, cannot be compared with any material rewards and advancements we might have received if we had invested that same time period in the commercial world. Nor could we have made a greater contribution to the future well being of the nation itself.
We have been working on devising and developing this homegrown, HeartStart curriculum, for close on a quarter century now. With no special intellectual qualifi cations, we have defi ed the odds and produced top grade students. Our children are not miracle graduates. They have simply been allowed to mature according to basic evolutionary standards, with the mistakes of history avoided. As far as we are concerned HeartStart is an unqualifi ed success – individually, intellectually, emotionally, socially and spiritually.
There are no reasons why any other family group on the planet cannot accomplish the same basic cultivation with their children that we have by using their own parental commitment. They can use their home and workshop as a school, browse on the Internet, apply their own innate teaching ingenuity and rescue their kids from State-run institutions. There is no larger ideological reason why every society on the planet cannot begin to divert its tax dollars away from state-instituted education systems. This would allow us to gradually phase-in enough fi nancial support to free both parents to stay at home and engage in the most important business of any Nation - bringing a new breed of self-educated, self-policed and self-motivated citizens into the world. This in turn will eventually create a national society that does not need a massive government of laws and constitutions, courts and judges, police and armies to get its citizens to do the right thing, creatively, effectively and holistically. This can give us a world, just one generation from now, of self-policed planet managers who are free of political psycho-babble - able to steward the home planet as a single family estate. After that we can all get on with the fi nal stages and spiritual purpose of our evolution.

Our program is DUAL BRAIN development they learn physics AND metaphsyics it is emphasized in this discussion domkop
You should learn to read and then assimilate what you read and not screen out stuff you don't agree with
a few metaphysical exercises would open a dialogue with the rest of your brain and let you see things more holistically It would also get rid of the rudeness at the same time |

| comming from the east , i am very comfortable with metaphysics. i guess this understanding comes with experience. but here in the east our children are considered spiritual beings, they too like the adults, know there is more to existance than meets the eye. maybe it is their life experiences. they are allowed to feel their feelings. they are allowed to explore their minds. they are allowed to think about their thinking. but these are children who understand spirituality. |

Jawhal, Herr Wittenstein you have sadly succeeded in taking the poetry out of love I will ask the surgeon to find out exactly where the sadness is located and get him to cut it out hopefully it is not in my brain

| sadness isnt a thing located anywhere. sadness is just a disposition to certain behaviors such as crying, but it is caused by some stuff happening in the brain.
ythology is not memories of anything. its made up stories. simple as that. |

Heart-start program seems to me to be something in the order of control. Your desire for the control MagnetMan, this is your curse, this is your Sheppard. But theWolf resists, because it must. The stuff happening in the brain are atoms chemically reacting with each other in association nobody is denying that
Humans are atomic associations reacting chemically with each other we call that inter-action social consciousness
trying to keep our internal PH balance is not fully in our control our chemistry is either too acidic or too sweet environment and circumstance are always the deciding factors some call circumstance, accidental (random theory) others call it, design (religious theory)
what does it really matter what we call it? The same chemistry happens to all of us anyway

You are being unscientific about this Show me the proof that supports your assertion
| TheWolf wrote: | | Sadness it the loss of control, you sad Sheppards that love the control. |
Sadness is the opposite of happiness one cannot have one without the other its poignancy is a matter of development of consciousness a dull poorly developed consciousness feels little of anything

The HeartStart program is designed to develop individual consciousness to its highest creative potential via encouraging the student to take self-control by puberty its ultimate goal is adult self-realization
Education of the child psyche can only be done in association which of necessity requires a level of parental and societal control feral children who behave like animals prove this educational necessity

Rebellion in itself leads to destruction of the self
Rebellion for the sake of a new order which benefits the herd that is creative |

We are currently using memory games, math calculation, language acquisition, music lessons and games of intuition to stimulate right brain development. I bought Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain by Dr. Betty Edwards at a used book store, and am learning how to incorporate these exercises in our daily routine. We volunteer at the homeless shelter twice a week in the kitchen. I allow my kids to play with neighborhood children and extended family members, as well as the friends they have in our network. My son attended a wildlife conservation camp last month, and now has the opportunity to go to San Diego as a youth counselor. They spend a lot of time with extended family on a farm about an hour away from our home. I appreciate the multi-generational experience they get from these visits. We are about to take a tour of Europe. It will be our 4th time traveling there as a family. Next year, we are planning a 5 week trip to Asia. We have not worked out the details of that trip yet, but it is the desire of my oldest boy to visit Nepal and Thailand. |

When (if) you have children one day, you should have the right to choose exactly how you want your children to be educated. I will also say that most people in the US who choose to send their kids to public schools do so because they feel entitled to a free public education, not because they expect excellence, but because it's free. Personally, I think the entire educational system is a gigantic rip-off. Once again, I speak from my prior experience as a teacher, and as the child of a public school teacher. Parents need to take responsibility for the education of their children, and not expect teachers to work miracles when the home learning environment is non-existent. Homeschooling is not about fear, it is about wanting more for your kids than the minimum educational experience. Again, I think you'll understand this one day when you must look out for the welfare your own. |
Meg; if you are still with me lets take it form here and see if we can generate more interest in getting the world's kids out of the classroom and back into the home where we all belong and reestablish family values as the base of a healthy social order |

We've been at the homeless shelter today Our turn in the kitchen Lots of families coming in now I can't help but wonder how I would manage, not knowing where our next meal is coming from, or whether my children will have a bed to sleep in at night. Remarkable stories of courage in the face of great obstacles from the most unlikely sources. I am constantly humbled by the experience.

Your concern is real enough 100 million mothers in Africa send their young hungry to bed each night the mere idea of it tears my heart
Can it happen here?
There are many theories why ancient civilizations died out and leave nothing but ruins
The answer is simple not war not plagues not drought but bad planning as regards energy depletion they burned their resource without plans to renew and had to return to the distant jungle
Without energy civilization is doomed New York would last less than two weeks
History is repeating past lessons were not learned so the question concerned parents ask is can we renew before the reserves are gone?
There is no jungle left to return to anymore
God helps those who help themselves
Without jungle we cannot survive without our neighbor's help
So what is your plan B? |

| Plan “b” actually does involve running for the hills We own a 40 acre parcel of land Fortunately, it has a fresh water source I would like to keep it as off the grid as possible The only structure we have so far is a 30’ yurt (and a pole barn) I am hoping to build something more permanent one day Right now, it’s like glorified camping; wood stove, oil lamps and all We get up there about twice a month There’s a ton of work to do, clearing fields and managing the land The plan is to have solar and wind power, eventually. I have spent a great deal of time over the past few years learning how to preserve food I think I am lucky in this regard, because I do remember watching my grandmother can produce She would let me stay in the kitchen while she worked, just as long as I didn’t get in the way Sometimes, she would let me help her. I wish I had paid more attention back then. For anyone who would like to learn how to preserve food, I recommend Granny Miller’s website: Granny Miller's websiteScroll down for canning tips on you tube. Also, if anyone is looking for one, there’s a great reference book called The Encyclopedia of Country Living, by Carla Emery. Practical advice, collected wisdom, lots of info. These are old ways of doing things We surely need new ways to produce and preserve food and natural resources. For now, knowing the basics and learning the traditional methods seem like a good way to start. Hopefully, new ideas will come with experience. I know this is all short term planning I am trying to unlearn much of my basic training, which is really pretty superficial stuff. My sorority sisters probably wouldn’t recognize me now |

| Your youthful memories sound familiar to me I would like to hear more
our Plan B takes place when the electricity feed is cut from rural areas without a bore hole and pump in the desert gardening is impossible and the rush to the cities will increase the chaos
We have decided to stay and live off the land if that happens our comfortable ranch houses will stay empty at least until sanity prevails
It can be done for a few families up on the slopes of the White Mountain & Silver Peak ranges surrounding our high desert valley
We will survive much like the Paiute did 6000 years ago trout pinon nuts and desert critters
We'll freeze in winter live off the trout and as much rice as we can haul from our cache up to the high caves below the snow melt where the icy creeks flow and rainbow trout flit
in emergency I will cull mustangs and sun dry the meat enough for twelve for a month or three
We could not haul a yurt up there the aspen groves provide plenty of poles the tepee acts as its own chimney the family sleeps warm around an open-pit fire and the pinon fuel is endless
Summers will be fun we know the slopes well
Our lot will be harder than the Paiute they left Owens Valley each spring and stayed till first snow trekking in over the mountain passes up to Fish lake obsidian arrowheads and stone mills are everywhere
Perhaps all the early ancestors of the Shoshone and Paiute families of the Owens valley tribe may have gathered here over the millennium Big powwow dancing smoking meeting old friends and relatives and mating with others while feasting on water fowl
They camped in the high meadows for the pinion nut flour and fishing and also down on the lake among the sand dunes when the massed flocks of Canadian geese arrived traveling along the Pacific Flyway on annual migrations
Our ancient Ice Age lake is dry now the dry bed a sea of mesquite and sage the last drop of water sucked from the salty flats in the 1960's by the alfalfa farmers
imagine that a swamp plant in the desert an alien landscape planted in giant lush green pivot irrigation circles each surrounded by parched sand and boiling rock
mapped from above we look much like a future moon community might sans the glass dome but we will plant peaches up there not cattle fodder and court moon-born maidens with bones as fragile and supple as a willow So the great fly path once crowded with a bird hunter's delight directly overhead lands at other lakes now and no longer brings us a feast of fat geese
Back to your story
If you travel back into your past in an earnest effort of recollection every detail is then in hindsight and every detail is inter-related with another each adding layers of perspective shedding more light on your retro-vision and sometimes revealing lost gems
By the way You have not responded my query about courage tell me why
your sorority sisters should pay attention you tread where they may have to come |

| Dear Stu, Let me apologize for not responding sooner. My only excuse is that a glorious Sunday, like yesterday, makes it near impossible for me to stay indoors. We had some unexpected (although not unwelcome) guests over for an evening of supper and cards. Our kids enjoy playing together, and as they are rather new to home schooling (second year), the conversation tends to revolve around the topic. We discussed HeartStart at length, and I explained it to her as clearly as I understand. She might check out your posts here to get a better idea of exactly what the program is about. I sent her a link to DPF this morning, so maybe she will come over and take a look (hi Jan! ). I have a couple of questions for you: first, and this is Jan’s excellent question, What about evaluations? Some states require either a certified teacher or licensed psychologist to provide an annual evaluation of progress to the school district where they live. Other states may require results from a standardized test for evaluation. Part of the reason we bought land in Mississippi (besides the price) is that home school laws in this state are very liberal, and give parents total authority over the school board. I have another home schooling friend who lives in New York, but legally resides in Connecticut due to the restrictive home school laws in NY. Our idea is that we form a 600 school, which is a legal umbrella school where students are considered enrolled in a private school by the state. What are your thoughts on the subject of evaluations? What do you think of establishing an umbrella school, solely for the purpose of following the letter of the law? I still haven’t answered your query about courage. Give me some time to think about it I tend to move slowly, deeply, methodically These are traits I strive to work with, not against (it comes honestly, from an astrological point of view). Kids and I will continue building a working trebuchet for most of the day today. We have to make the parts in the workshop here, and carry them up to our property as we go. It will be a beauty, when it’s done! Southerners are born storytellers. I'll have to share with you the one about my dad chipping in a shot out of a bunker for an eagle last weekend. Absolutely amazing! I never would of believed it, had I not been there. |

| Hi Meg
Got a tickle out of your eagle yarn Golf is a serious religion to me I have a one hole sand ourse on the ranch and play 18 balls on it every morning If your dad ever comes out this way....... I play scratch
Evaluation is good Peer measurement both within the family and the extended family beyond is necessary especially after puberty HeartStart would be meaningless to others if I did not have my student's government test reports to show
The text book laws are a problem especially if script indoctrination is held back till puberty I had to use evasive tactics when the inspectors came around and pretend we were obeying the law My student's oral accumen was enough to convince them that the kids were being educated Later when the test scores showed they were the smartest in the county we were left alone
All I can say is that HeartStart remains a pioneering journey right now and Voortrekkers have to each find their own way to survive and arrive at their destination
Our Global Stewardship Foundation has been registered as a non-profit educational corporation in the State of Nevada since 1994 We have full tax exempt status
I don't know much about the 600 school legalities Or how that may tie in with what we already have accomplished especially on a national level ever since my wife died we have been without a full-time administrator my three daughters try to fill the admin gap but they are loaded with responsibilities already
I and my sons are tied up with the building program we have an eight apartment student living complex half done a huge project for the three of us on a very limited budget a fourth son is at college studying journalism and has scored another notch for home-schoolers with a 4.0 grade average
What is truly phenomenal about that performance is that he mastered academics alone I take credit only for the thirteen yeras of oral instruction he got and the single week of 1st Grade reading and maths I gave him after that he like all the others were entirely self-tutored dispelling forever the myth that late reading skills retard the intellect and that only highly educated parents can produce a college graduate
None of that ground-breaking experimentation in child education would have ever been attempted by the professional education system
the government exam marks of four graduates HeartStart has produced to date added to the progress of the next three would make expensive private schools drool
Somehow or another 2 million home school families have to unite as a single force and start wielding more political clout States should not be a hindrance to family values and how each family decides what is best for their kids The State should support parental guides whole-heartedly including financially
theoretically the state owes me over half a million educational dollars with that kind of money I could get all eight to travel and pour the rest into the campus a year abroad after high school is immensely beneficial
Our 40 acres is dedicated to the building of a global stewardship campus we hope to include 3rd world students in our training and the plan for all future graduates is over-seas assignments
I want to thank you for your warm support, Meg I have the feeling that you are the kind of person who when they decide to commit they give their heart and mind to it
When two hearts beat in unison with the same goal in mind in this world of confused short-term politics with all groping for long-term focus the magnetic attraction of an undivided pairing who have a clear vision of what lies ahead becomes exponential
In the meantime let us keep talking together about all this in public places and see what develops
I would like to hear more of your Southern stories i will relate some of my African adventures we can show how all human events lead back to the importance of maintaining strong family values and our striving for a well-run global estate
Peace S |

| Home Schooling offers certain self disciplinary challenges to the parents
There is a difference in being master in one's castle instead of servant on the mass production line obedient to the clock machine
The difference in command is that it should awaken the very best in you
You make your own rules and make sure to impose them on yourself as well as the children
Rise early eat healthy keep fit exercise daily run the home diligently tend garden and workshop love your neighbors honor our ancestors adore Nature set a constant example of all the virtues bow to a greater God then your brood will flourish and do you proud |
