Is the whole bible full of transmogrification it seems as if it is; it looks like every time i turn around there is

something that is a Christian reinterpretation of paganistic ideology. Because most of the symbols or

pictures that we associate with the bible or most of the things in cristianity is in direct propotion to

paganistic history so as a result the bible is merly just a book full of paganistic beliefs bt it also is a paradox

or shows alot of oppisition towards pagans. ...

I have been writing a mathematical paper down for the last two weeks. The problem is according to a prof. of physics, is that its untelligible. By that, he meant it was not right, nor wrong, but rather the mathematics being used have no descriptions of what is happening, so a good 70% of the paper needs a good philosophist. It also needs someone with good visual and mental capacity to understand abstractual scenarios. It won't require a mathematician or even a quantum physicist, because all that ...

"how does one practice a social principle without having a philosophy?"

As in all things, I speak here only for myself.

And, of course, this is the key to my 'principles'.

As morality is a fiction (at best: the codified median of the 'successful' behaviors of an awful lot of individuals over a great span of time; at worst: crafted, esoteric, shackles to hobble the un-powered in favor of the powered), one must work to craft a meaning (morality) for one's self.

Above all else: ...

A pharmaceuticals company has launched an investigation after a woman was refused the contraceptive pill because it was against the pharmacist's religion to give it to her.

Janine Deeley was turned away by the female chemist at Lloyds pharmacy in Duke Street, Sheffield, when she went to pick up her routine prescription of the medication.

A man can live a life with a different set of principles other than elevating emotional connections to a status that supersedes his desires and choices. What I see usually in modern men is that they engage in a mutual monogamous relationships with women, to the detriment of their preferences and choices. There's nothing wrong with choosing that path. The problem comes in when he describes it as the "only path" and does not refer to it as a personal choice. Instead he refers to it ...

So we have the possibility of a man having certain preferences in what he finds sexually attractive, and that he could exercise choice in taking action to obtain those things.

Unfortunately, there is no way a guy can make a choice based off his preferences in modern society without being a "rapist" or a "sociopath". One concludes from this cultural rule, that women choose men, not the other way around. Hence -- men are reduced to little dogs in a dogshow auction block. ...

For most people, providing a well-rounded justification of their lifestyles, their actions, and their values is something they never feel obligated to do. But once an illegal action is undertaken by a person, they are immediately thrust into a position where they are obligated to provide a very elaborate defense of their own ethics. This responsibility to defend one's self while doing something illegal should contrast wildly against the judicial/penal system that punishes them for the action. ...

I would like to begin this thread with an excerpt from Rudolph Steiner

An Outline of Esoteric Science - R. Steiner

es·o·ter·ic, understood from within. The word Esoteric comes from two Greek words meaning 'from+within', The 'esoteric meaning' of a word, then, refers to a deeper, or more profound significance or understanding than what is commonly derived from the mere 'surface' connotation.

There was some back and forth about 'mind' in the thread.

This my response to the 14 or so posts in that thread...

I don't HAVE a mind (that is: I don't have an 'object' or 'thing' in my head or brain).

I DO mind (that is: 'I' think, feel, self-reference, access, discern, apprehend, learn, etc.).

'Mind' is a placeholder rooted in unfortunate and unjustified dualisms (mind/body; ...

Can we survive Global Capitalism?

There are negative feedback control systems such as a furnace/thermostat or our own bodies. There are positive feedback control systems such as an ordinary fire or our capitalistic economic system.

In a fire the higher the temperature the faster the fuel is burned; the faster the fuel burns the higher goes the temperature. In a business enterprise it is common practice to put a percentage of profit into advertising. More advertising creates greater ...

A causal relationship between mind and brain is assumed to be revealed by scientific enterprises. This popular assumption is entirely misguided. The investigation is a logical, philosophical one. Causality, as we know, is spatio-temporal. But there is no spatio-temporal link between mind and brain. Why is this? Let's have a look.

The TEMPORAL Link between Mind and Brain:

It is not enough for two events, mental and physical, to happen at the same time for them to be causally linked. We could ...
